ArcGIS Runtime SDK 10.2.5 for Qt is now available

Imagine being able to write a single native application with a beautiful user experience that runs on an Android, iOS, Mac OS, Windows and Linux device…and you do it all with a simple yet powerful markup language. You “declare” it, using a syntax you’re already very familiar with.

Well, now you can!

Welcome to the new ArcGIS Runtime 10.2.5 SDK for Qt, featuring cross-platform development and deployment of great ArcGIS native mobile and desktop apps!

This version of the ArcGIS Runtime SDK continues to extend The Qt Company’s Qt platform by exposing the ArcGIS Runtime API through QML. QML is a highly-productive, declarative language for producing great-looking, modern, animated user interfaces for mobile and desktop apps. It’s much like HTML, CSS and JavaScript, so a developer at any level will find it’s syntax very intuitive.

QML is the language for creating Qt Quick applications. One app, all major platforms and devices.

For C++ developers, the 10.2.5 release also provides an even stronger and more stable platform. It includes the integration of Open Street Map layers, as well as the Qt 5 Positioning module.

Other important information about this revolutionary release can be found in the 10.2.5 Release Notes here.

NOTE: Qt SDK version 5.4.0 is required for Windows. Qt SDK 5.4.1 is not binary compatible with ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Windows that was built using Qt SDK 5.4.0. For more information about this issue, see the The Qt Company blog. You can download Qt SDK 5.4.0 for Windows from The Qt Company’s download archive. We are actively testing  a version of 10.2.5 for Windows that is compatible with the Qt SDK 5.4.1. Please check back in a week or so for an update on this.

Thanks to all of our Beta testers
This major release also marks the end of the Beta program that’s been ongoing since October 2014. We cannot thank all of you enough for your valuable feedback and participation in this program. Many of the features you used in Beta have been included in the 10.2.5 release. On behalf of the entire team, thank you!
