The Black Hills Digital Mapping Association supports the professionals who make it all happen behind the scenes.
The association’s annual meeting includes free introductory lessons on digital mapping. The

Hands-on Learning Lab is open from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17 and Wednesday, October 18 in the Surbeck Center on the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology campus. The lab is a free resource developed as an introduction to ArcGIS software. It consists of a group of laptops with headphones where students can work through lessons at their own pace.
Come learn more about today’s mapping industry. Digital mapping professionals and the public can also
register and attend presentations about data, drones, map apps and more.
