Welcome to Greenville. You're in town for a few days and The Greenville News wants to help you get the most out of our city. We've put together a guide to Greenville that includes where to eat, where to play and what to see.

Take a break from sports and stretch your legs. Greenville is home to literally dozens of pieces of public art and an interactive map will help you take your own self-guided tour of it.

Story Map Tour

Greenville's downtown pieces include a Rose Crystal Tower by Dale Chihuly, an 8-foot statue made of a red polymer that looks like glass and The Fabric of Hope arch at Brown Street which represents Greenville's prominent textile history. Many of the displays honor Greenville's heritage and notable residents like "Shoeless" Joe Jackson and Dr. Charles Townes, the inventor of the laser and a Nobel prize winner.

The interactive map divides Greenville into four sections; downtown (red), West End (purple), parks and trails (green) and corridor areas (blue). Many of the art displays in the downtown district are within walking distance of Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
