Track How Many Olympic Medals Each Country Has Won in Real Time

Yesterday, the first medals of the 2018 Winter Olympics were awarded in PyeongChang, South Korea.

Keeping track of where all those medals are going can be a pretty epic task. Online mapping company Esri has created a really sleek way of doing it through an interactive map where you can see a visual representation of where all the medals are going.

You can view the map here.

With it, you can look at just the total number of medals each country has won or break things down by gold, silver, and bronze.

It makes it really easy to see at a glance who’s on top, as well as what part of the world the winners seem to be located in (something I personally find pretty intriguing).

And if maps aren’t your thing, you have a few other options for tracking the number of medals being passed out.

Most major networks and publications are keeping a runny tally of the number of medals each country is taking home on their sites. The best place (in my opinion) is going straight to the source: The Olympic’s official website.
